Transformation starts with daily communion. Romans 8 says that we are adopted children of God and there is a work happening within us, where we will be revealed as who we were originally created to be!

My motto: ” I am no longer a sinner for I am a daughter of God!”  Transformation taking place right here…

Having communion daily is a symbol of desiring to be transformed from the inside out!

I dared to even envision a personal transfiguration to become more like God. Jesus experienced this In Luke 9 verse 29 Jesus is up on a mountain with Peter, John, and James “and as he was praying, the appearance of his face was transformed, and his clothes became dazzling white.” (NLT)

Now I’m not saying I’m going to start glowing or that I can have that greater change, but what I do desire is to be totally transformed into who God has created me to be! Transformation is promised in 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NLT): “So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord–who is the Spirit–makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into his glorious image.”

Every morning since I have had this revelation, I’ve had daily communion as the very first act of my quiet time. I created a playlist of songs and I wrote out verses and a prayer. One of the verses I reflected on was Romans 8 and I’d love to share some wonderful promises:

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit. So by letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.  Christ lives within you, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God. The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children…… transformation. Now we call Him, “Abba, Father.” For His Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. And since we are His children, we are His heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory.

For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, He gave them right standing with Himself. And having given them right standing, He gave them His glory. NLT paraphrased

Thank you lord that we are chosen

We are called

We have been given right standing because of the great sacrifice that Jesus made!
We have been given Gods glory!

The emblems are symbols of something very sacred! They are symbols of the great promise  and revelation from Romans 8.

2 Corinthians 7:1 NLT “Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God.”

So as we partake may we fully grasp and understand the amazing work Jesus has done for us, is doing in us and will continue to do in us!

Lord words cannot truly express the gratitude I have for what you’ve done for me!
Lord I thank you so much for your body which was bruised and broken for us! That by your stripes we have received physical healing!

Lord I thank you so much for your blood that was willingly poured out for us! That your blood cleanses us afresh today and wipes all sin from our lives! We thank you for the cup of blessing, your precious blood that gives us spiritual healing!

May Your power fill us today afresh transform us from the inside out to become who you have created us to be! Amen!
