You’ve Got The Power

Social media is an increasingly powerful tool. My dear friend Veronica once declared that she uses social media as part of her legacy. She desires to leave a ‘trail of good’ here on earth. Having a social media page gives her a place to leave that legacy as well as assist others along the way with her words.
I LOVE that! How incredible and amazing is it that we can leave a digital legacy behind for the generations to come?!

So we have a great power at our fingertips! We can connect worldwide faster than ever before and we have an opportunity to reach into the furthest parts of the globe.
But we must be reminded that great power also holds great responsibility:

“Where there is great power there is great responsibility” Winston Churchill

Someone can look at Your Social media page and instantly know:
What you look like
The area of the world that you live in
Who your friends are
What you enjoy
What you share which declares what you believe in
And SO many more things!

Philippians‬ ‭2:15-16 states that to remain blameless and without criticism we MUST: ‬ ‬‬
Live clean, innocent lives as children of God
Shine like bright lights (stars that shine in a dark world)
Hold firmly to the Word of Life
So that on the day of Christ’s return we can be proud of what we achieved, we can exultantly rejoice. We can reflect that we did not run the race in vain and that our work was not useless. (NLT and AMPC versions paraphrased)

Today I want to encourage you to place Psalms‬ ‭19:14 in front of you before you type even one word: “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.” (‭NLT)‬‬. I urge you to think before you post and realize the great power you have in your hands. ‬‬
